GA Review[edit]

Reviewer: Wizardman 04:23, 29 November 2009 (UTC) Overall this article is quite good. I just have a couple irks:[reply]

  • In 2007 you mention a placekicking battle, but no mention of other participants. Who won? Was Mesko involved or was he kept to punting duties?
  • "Mesko is Michigan's career leader in punts and punting yardage and is second only to Monte Robbins in punting average. Mesko ranks ninth all-time in career punts and seventh in punting yardage in Big Ten Conference history." Cite needed, or is the cite below in the stats section?
    • I found two refs. The one comparing him to Robbins says that he entered his final season needing 4 punts and 171 yards to become number one. I don't actually have one saying he became number one.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 14:56, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll put this on hold and pass upon completion. Wizardman 04:23, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good, article passes. Wizardman 17:39, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

WSJ item[edit]

The Wall Street Journal recently carried a nice article about Mr Mesko titled "Meet the NFL's Most Interesting Man". It may be of use in the article. Cheers, CWC 08:59, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Primary topic[edit]

At least over the last 90 days, with neither in the news, this Zoltan Mesko accounts for about 20 times more page views than the article on the WWII figure of the same name. Given that, shouldn't this either be the primary topic, or have a dab page that links to the two of them? It seems odd that the primary topic (the WWII figure) should be the one few people are looking for. Samer (talk) 14:36, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
