Untitled[edit]

This is a fun game (Island Odyssey) -- we got it as part of a cheapo pack, though, and there's no manual, AFAICT. It would be great to include some summary of the games and how they work. Ken K 14:08, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does any one have any information about the history of the game? I think the game was originally released and possibly developed by Broderbund? Styracosaurus 23:21, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You are right, Styracosaurus. I have a copy of the original game sitting here (sadly, I still play it. But i'm only 14!) 61.68.168.180 02:33, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I, too, still have it. I'm 22 and it's currently on my computer. I also have the manual if there are any questions it could answer. -WarthogDemon 04:59, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Citations and Cleanup[edit]

As of right now, this article has no citations whatsoever, even for what should be fairly verifiable (but potentially disputable) statements, such as that the game has won awards. It also spends a great deal of the article on the minutiae of the different puzzles and creatures encountered, which are not really critical to understanding the game or its importance to the video game world (if it actually has any). Since I know nothing about the game (I got here by looking up "Fleen" and discovering this article instead of one about the webcomic news site), I'm just tagging this rather than doing an AfD. Hopefully someone who knows something about this game will fix the article up to standards. Ig8887 (talk) 14:52, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know this game quite well, actually. I'm the one who made some major wording improvements to the article quite recently, even though the IP addresses are different for some reason. So what exactly can be done to fix the article? 69.182.5.140 (talk) 19:15, 5 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have a copy of the original Broderbund version and I am interested in improving this article. I provided the box art and I could perhaps also provide additional screenshots where relevant. When I have time, I will start working on ways to improve it. I do however feel that the article is worth keeping since it played a large part in some of my childhood. The game is notable, I know several other people who have also played it. While you may not have heard it a good number of other people certainly have. I have now rearranged and reworded parts of the article, and added screenshots of each puzzle in the original game. I have the triple-pack now, so will get to work adding more detailed information on the other two games in the series when I have time. May not be for a while, since I have to play through the other games and work out how to play them first. Tinytimrob (talk) 22:43, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Zoombiniville vs Zoombiniton[edit]

Will someone please explain where Zoombiniville came from? I have a copy of the original game and the new home of the Zoombinis is most certainly Zoombiniton (I can provide screenshots if necessary). I corrected the article a long time ago but it has since been changed back. Tinytimrob (talk) 22:03, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I believe "Zoombiniton" is the UK-localized name for what is called Zoombiniville in the US version. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.68.251.28 (talk) 15:36, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, it's sorted now. Tinytimrob (talk) 22:39, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

After doing some research, I have confirmed that it was in fact originally Zoombiniton, and was renamed to Zoombiniville for the US release. I have now edited the article to state the language differences between the UK and US releases. Tinytimrob (talk) 11:19, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Educational Effects[edit]

Sounds WAY too praising of the educational value of Zoombinis DemonDays64 (talk) 22:18, 27 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
