Youtube Videos

I am back again. P-Low the Skillful Abbot here. I brought Zuiikin English back with never before seen clips that I've had for almost 2 decades. I no longer care about having my link or the fame. Most people know where all the vids on the net came from now. Now, I just want to continue sharing this treasure with the world for as long as I can. I see 'The Skillful Abbot' has started to put all his videos of Zuiikin back online after deleting his youtube account because '(He) was tired of not getting any credit for the caps'. Some of the videos which have been missing online for a number of months are now back online - hopefully we'll see more soon. P-Low: The Skillful Abbot Yes. That is true. But I actually deleted my channel because people were taking the clips and uploading them again without giving me credit for the caps. I uploaded two new clips this week. I also added the Japanese titles to each of the clips.

I think it should be mentioned that "Zuiikin English" was honestly trying to teach some English and be comedic at the same time. However, it was not a full on skit comedy/spoof like "Gakitsukai" and the like. I think it should also be noted that the titles and hosts commentaries are filled with puns. For example,"円回内筋でパーティー(EnkainaikindeParty)" "円回内筋" [ENKAInaikin] the muscle's name and "宴会[ENKAI]" meaning party. There are tons of these "駄洒落" through out the series...

I added a link to my YouTube channel to the external links section. I started a cult following, can I at least have a link to my channel on the top page?

Questioning article content

I challenge the assertion that Zuuikin Gals was originally intended as a spoof. I have enough first-hand knowledge of Japanese culture to know that something as apparently bizarre to Western sensibilities would not necessarily be as strange to Asian, particularly Japanese, sensibilities.

I think the author of the article is making a mistake as labelling Zuiikin Gals as a parody or spoof, and I will maintain that belief until the author can provide conclusive evidence to the contrary. I will, however, refrain from editing the article, because I too cannot prove my assertion.

I think the "spoof" assertion must be verified by reliable sources per Wikipedia policies. I think any gaijin with knowledge of language shows in Japan know how utterly hilarious and bizarre they appear to Western eyes. What would constitute proof that this is intended as a parody? An assertion by a specialist is Japanese comedy? A translation of the Fuji TV synopsis for the show? I doubt this will ever be able to be verified. However I have shown this clip to a Japanese friend who watched it and took about half a minute to tell me the show was a joke. Also it seems rather hard to believe that the show genuinely thought that phrases such as "I have a bad case of diarrhea", "Spare me my life", "How dare you say such a thing to me", and "Hasta la vista, baby" would need to used regularly when travelling to english speaking countries. --203.97.216.60 (talk) 09:30, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

The choice of adjectives and adverbs in this line from the article strikes me as not entirely NPOV… anyone else?

They start to perform synchronised exercises with innocent smiles on their faces while chanting the phrase hypnotically to idyllic techno-pop sounds.
