RE: "In August 2007, on the Higashi-Zushi side, escalator and elevator facilities ..."[edit]

"In August 2007, on the Higashi-Zushi side, escalator and elevator facilities were completed and a new overpass was opened. The West exit was moved somewhat to the south, and the overpass on the Kamakura end was converted to a free over-track passageway. "

This is incorrect. The escalator and elevators were added, but the overpass is unchanged as far as I remember.

And I don't think there is a "west exit". The exits are "north" and "south", though I will check on this.

In any event, the second overpass, the one on the west end of the platform, the Kamakura end, is largely as it has been for decades. It is a transfer overpass only. It does not pass through the station. I wish it did. I live just 50 meters or so from where that second overpass would connect to the surrounding neighborhood and would love to not have to walk around the station when I go to the south side of the station. There is no way to go through the station for free without a pass.

I've updated the article and modified the wording regarding the station layout, especially the bit about the "free overpass", as that appeared to be inaccurate. The eastern overpass is indeed new, however, and the exits are signposted "east" and "west" even though they clearly lie on the south and north sides of the station. I've added a photo of the former "west" exit which was located a short distance to the east of the new entrance, and its position can still be seen on Google maps, as they haven't got round to moving the "西口" label to match the actual location of the new entrance. But thanks for spotting the inaccuracies. --DAJF (talk) 03:01, 17 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
