Word choice[edit]

"The name derives from the German word Zwinger (an enclosed killing ground in front of a castle or city gate); it was for the cannons that were placed between the outer wall and the major wall. The Zwinger was not enclosed until the Neoclassical building by Gottfried Semper called the Semper Gallery was built on its northern side."

So, its name means an enclosed space, but the Zwinger was not actually enclosed at the time of its building... So why was it named Zwinger? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.21.247.65 (talk) 19:23, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The introduction[edit]

Am I missing something, or the sentence is incomplete?
