Template:ChessAN/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This template is used to conveniently link into the Algebraic notation (chess) article. For example,

{{chessAN|1–0}} links the same as
[[Algebraic notation (chess)#1–0|1–0]]

where 1–0 and similar are section name anchors, currently: e.p., 0-0, 0-0-0, +, ++, #, 1–0, 0–1, ½–½, ½–0, 0–½, 0–0, and (=).

Notes:

  • Symbol "(=)" means draw offer. For symbol "=" meaning equal chances, use template {{chesspunc}} instead.
  • As a temporary workaround to pass the "=" character, enclose in curly brackets. For example,
{{chessAN|({{=}})}}
