Template:DGA awards short description/doc

This template will add a short description for Directors Guild of America Awards ceremony articles. This ensures a consistency in short descriptions between articles, and allows for the short descriptions for all articles to be changed at once.

Changing the short descriptions by editing this template is encouraged, but exercise caution as this template is used on all DGA ceremony pages. If you are unsure how to edit this template safely, feel free to leave a request on the talk page, and someone will make the edit for you.

Usage[edit]

This template requires the specification of one parameter for the year that eligible works were released (|works-year=):

{{DGA awards short description|works-year=}}

The generated short description has the form "Award ceremony for film and television directing in [year]" and is 56 characters long. For example, {{DGA awards short description|works-year=2023}} produces the short description "Award ceremony for film and television directing in 2023".
