Template:Democracy Index rating/doc

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Displays the rating of a country from The Economist's Democracy Index in a sentence.

Usage[edit]

{{{1}}} is the name of the country. {{{2}}} is the classification; if it is "authoritarian regime", the "a" before it changes to an "an". {{{3}}} is the year being rated, which currently should be 2022. If {{{4}}} is set to "true", there's a comma instead of a period.

E.g. {{Democracy Index rating|Alethkar|authoritarian regime|2022}} displays as:

The Economist Intelligence Unit rated Alethkar an "authoritarian regime" in 2022.[1]

{{Democracy Index rating|Azir|hybrid regime|2022|1}} making it better than Alethkar. displays as:

The Economist Intelligence Unit rated Azir a "hybrid regime" in 2022,[1] making it better than Alethkar.

The reference made by this may be re-used with the syntax <ref name ="democracy-index" />
