- The hook would be better if the mention of author can be changed to something clearer. Suraj T 04:18, 1 October 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what it can be changed to as author and authority are the correct terms for the researcher that first describes a taxon. --Kevmin § 15:26, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
- I think many or most readers will wonder what a novelist has to do with an extinct moth, so a different way of phrasing the hook would be good. In addition, I think most people's reaction to the fact that it sat on someone's desk for a few years would be "so what?" -- the hook needs to specifiy something like: it sat on the author's desk for a number of years before he published a description of it to make any sense.
