Betrayer (video game)[edit]

Created by Odie5533 (talk). Self nominated at 00:41, 27 March 2014 (UTC).

  • New (25th), long enough, "within policy", no copyvio found via spotcheck (no tool), QPQ done. ALT's hook doesn't have an immediate ref in article (see 3b). Please ping me if I don't respond. czar  04:11, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
  • @Czar: Done, though I do prefer the main one if that one is acceptable. --Odie5533 (talk) 04:29, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
gtg, main hook preferred czar  04:32, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
I'm simply not comfortable with pushing the original hook to the main page. Eurogamer says that the game is inspired by TES, FC3, Dark Souls, and Silent Hill. But that's not how the hook is worded at all; the hook makes it seem like a certainly, rather than a critic's opinions. As for the alt, I don't think it's interesting enough. How about:
ALT2 ... that the video game Betrayer uses a monochrome art style that has been called "undeniably striking"?

Sounds fine to me. --Odie5533 (talk) 07:23, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
The main hook could be made more explicit by either mentioning Eurogamer or by rephrasing the "inspired" part of the article/hook to better reflect that the developers didn't necessarily have the inspiration in mind but the reviewers thought so. I agree that the ALT1 hook isn't great, but I thought the closer wouldn't use it anyway. ALT2 would be fine by me, but it needs the 3b immediate ref in the article and I would feel better if the source (EG) was mentioned instead of "has been called". czar  12:01, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
ALT2b ... that Eurogamer called the monochrome art style in the video game Betrayer "undeniably striking"?
I've added the 3b citation and rephrased ALT2, Czar. Sven Manguard Wha? 19:07, 6 April 2014 (UTC)
Main and ALT2 gtg. ALT2 would be my personal preference. Main ce'd, ALT1 struck as uninteresting, new ALT2 is good. czar  02:29, 8 April 2014 (UTC)
