  • ... that Cephas L. Bard (pictured), the first American physician in Ventura, California, was also the first person to die in the hospital he built there? Source: Michaela Crawford Reaves (2001). Cephas Little Bard: Soldier, Pioneer, Doctor. The Ventura County Historical Society Quarterly

  • Looks good, Cbl62; just one issue: the fact that he was the first person to die in the hospital isn't currently mentioned in the article. Once that's been taken care of (and a QPQ has been done), this should be good to go. Cheers, Extraordinary Writ (talk) 03:28, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
  • Thanks, I ordered a hard copy of his biography published in 2001. I hope to have it tomorrow and should be in a position to beef up the sourcing. Cbl62 (talk) 03:36, 17 September 2022 (UTC)
@Extraordinary Writ: Issues now addressed. Thanks for your patience. Cbl62 (talk) 05:13, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
– long enough, new enough, interesting and short enough hook, neutral, copyvio-free, sourced, image is in the public domain, QPQ done, etc. AGFing on the offline sourcing. Thanks for your work on this! Extraordinary Writ (talk) 07:41, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
