This is a new article, begun January 19, 2016, and nominated for DYK January 20, so it satisfies the 7-day criterion. The title indicates it is about the Columbia Southern Chemical Corporation, a diversified company, but the text seems to focus mainly on a single product. Which do you intend? I think it is not long enough to do both well. The current word count is 260 words (1760 characters including spaces). DYK nominating criteria is a minimum of 1500 characters. Exception: If, at the time a nomination is promoted to the main page, its nominator has fewer than five DYK credits (whether or not self-nominated) then the nomination is exempt from QPQ.
" per WP:DYK#Eligibility criteria; I currently have 2 DYK credits, so this nomination is exempt from QPQ. Secondly: Approximately 18% of the article (3/10 sentences, 2 of which are relatively short) are in regard to a specific product (i.e. CR-39) which is one of the more notable things the company produced (i.e. there is sourcing available about it). Personally, I don't think it detracts too much (i.e. is the main focus). If you still think it is an issue that will prevent this from passing, I can add another sentence or two unrelated to that specific product. If that wouldn't be enough, I suppose this will have to fail, as I've pretty much exhausted what I could find through freely available online sources. 07:15, 3 February 2016 (UTC): Shortened hook above to be within the character limit. The hook, as of today, has 174 characters, so it satisfies the length limit. It is interesting and has an in-line citation. The overall word count is 259 (1729 characters including spaces), which meets the DYK criterion. The article meets WP policy guidelines, is neutral and has inline citations. There is no image.
