Improved to Good Article status by Cambalachero (talk). Self-nominated at 18:36, 7 July 2017 (UTC).

Substantial article, on good sources, offline sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. The image is licensed but will have to be in the article to be eligible. I recently suggested an image with a pope which was not taken, perhaps to avoid too much religion on the Main page, - you may want to look for a different topic for the hook. But I will approve this if you want to stay with it, once the image is in the article, and you solve that the article says the meeting was before the inauguration. - I formatted "pictured" and moved it. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:47, 7 July 2017 (UTC)
I have added a second hook, based on the "women in politics" angle. Cambalachero (talk) 02:14, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
I approve that one, thank you, shows more of her! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:44, 8 July 2017 (UTC)
  • Unfortunately, this article has already been featured twice on the main page, in a blurb for On this day, in 2009 and 2010. According to WP:DYK, 1.e., Articles that have featured (bold link) previously on DYK, or in a blurb on the main page's In the news, or On this day sections are ineligible. So it can't be included in DYK now, even though it has just become a Good Article. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:18, 9 July 2017 (UTC)
