Demob suit[edit]

A newly demobilised soldier in his demob suit.

  • ... that after the end of the Second World War, newly demobilised soldiers in their demob suits (pictured) felt that they had swapped one uniform for another?

  • It's new enough, and long enough, and spotchecked content seems free of close paraphrasing / copyvio. But the source used as the citation for the hook is not a reliable source. Xlibris is a self-publishing / print-on-demand press, and that doesn't meet the policy standards. I'm similarly suspect of the Dave Diss book; The Book Guild does some conventional publishing but also does some partner publishing and some pure print-on-demand work, and (as far as I can tell) does nothing to permit readers to distinguish between them. • Thanks for the review. I added a ref to the Jobling book instead, which does support the hook fact. I moved Diss to behind a specific quote from his book. I agree it might be self-published but it's OK to quote him recounting his own experiences I think. Philafrenzy (talk) 23:31, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
  • That resolves the sourcing problems, I think. Agreed that your use of Diss is compliant with WP:SPS. Image meets all the image expectations as well. Once you QPQ, I'll be happy to pass. Squeamish Ossifrage (talk) 23:49, 5 January 2015 (UTC)
QPQ done. Philafrenzy (talk) 14:30, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
With the QPQ done, this is good to go! Squeamish Ossifrage (talk) 15:28, 8 January 2015 (UTC)
