Der Handschuh (Waterhouse)[edit]

Created/expanded by Gerda Arendt (talk). Self nom at 12:50, 4 November 2011 (UTC)

  • Everything checks out, and AGF on the German. One thing though. The article is mostly based on a self-published source, the composer's website [1] (I think). Since I'm not seeing anything potentially controversial info in the article, I think that's ok, but it could use some more secondary sources. There's also a long-ish direct quote in the "Plot and composition" which should be paraphrased. If it is paraphrased and nobody else has a problem with the major source being SP then I'll tick this off. Volunteer Marek  15:39, 15 November 2011 (UTC)
  • Thanks for looking! The time of composition can only be sourced by the composer, nobody else knows. Secondary sources could be found for premieres and publications. I regard the quotation as kind of an illustration of his approach to the work, such as if you write on a painting, you like to add the picture of a painting. - I have no more time today, but likely tomorrow, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:01, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
