- Comment: It might be a tick under 5x still, but it's a sizeable expansion already (from about 3.5 kb to 18.5 kb so far), and I may be able to get it to 19 or 20kb.

June 25 size is 650 words. Expansion required is 3250. Article sits at 3186. Not quite there.

- DYK expansion is based on characters, no? Not words. Also, the individual is no longer alive, so no BLP concern. His having pitched the no-hitter on LSD is something he was proud of, too, so this isn't a negative comment on the individual in any way. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:26, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

- Lessee... based on DYK Checker, it was 3,689 characters (650 words) in late June, and now it's 18,322 characters (3,186 words) . 5x more characters is 18445, so I am just under right now, but can get over real easy. 5x the number of words would be 3250, which is also easy to obtain. Since I just started the expansion less than 24 hours ago, I'll have it over 5x without any bending of the 5x rule to okay a 4.9x expansion within the 5 day window. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:34, 14 July 2012 (UTC)

- General comment unrelated to article: DYKcheck is not perfect. Sometimes it says an article is not 5X when it is really 5.1X or something. This might be because some version prior to the relevant one was longer (possibly from random character vandalism even) or it could just be a bug. --ThaddeusB (talk) 05:27, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
