Elmer Stricklett[edit]

Article expansion checks out for size and date, the hook size is fine, and the length of the article is okay. The sources used are reliable, but I do have a question about the hook fact. The "other reports" consist of one story, which says that Stricklett himself says he mastered the pitch. This should at least be attributed in the article, and perhaps in the hook as well. The "first to master it" is also close to the source, but that's another issue. Note that I haven't spot-checked the sources yet, other than the one citing the hook fact. - Checked all other freely avaliable sources and there were no close paraphrasing concerns. A few cites could be added to the second paragraph of the career section, but the referencing is reasonable otherwise. Giants2008 (Talk) 22:54, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
