Erschienen ist der herrlich Tag[edit]

Converted from a redirect by Gerda Arendt (talk). Self-nominated at 22:22, 20 March 2018 (UTC).

  • New (former redirect), in time, long enough, sourced, inline hook citations check out, no apparent copyvios. Gerda Arendt, QPQ needed. Also, there are two translations given for the hymn: "The glorious day has appeared", and "Appeared is the splendid day". Any reason to not just pick one? --Usernameunique (talk) 22:32, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
  • Sure there's a reason: both are good. One follows the grammar more (having "erschienen" = "appeared" first, the other the meaning ("glorious" is better for "herrlich"), and is singable, following the rhythm. Both are not excellent, though ;) - herrlich might be "fantastic" in today's speek. - Will do qpq now. For some reason, my old noms don't get a review ... - same thing happened yesterday. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:38, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
  • Works for me, and the QPQ is now done (bonus points for doing mine!), so all set. --Usernameunique (talk) 23:34, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
Thank you! Can you do me a fovour, move this tomorrow - when on the approved page - to Special occasions? I may not do that. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 23:42, 20 March 2018 (UTC)
