... that dentist Christian Linger ordered two hand-powered horseless carriages to be constructed by machinist Frank Toepfer and that led to the first gas-driven vehicle (pictured) built in the United States?

Source:At that time, Toepfer had already built two "horseless carriages" for a dentist, Dr. Christian Linger...

@Darfst: My software won't adj better. Here is the picture at 100 px, the size used on Did You Know. I think it is alright the way it is. ALT1 is good and I have struck out my original hook. Thanks.--Doug Coldwell (talk) 19:01, 8 May 2021 (UTC)

Sorry, Doug, but the image isn't really good in general, let alone at 100px, and when choosing image slots we want something striking - there are many much better image hook noms not used for the image slot because only 1/8 can be. Kingsif (talk) 18:14, 10 May 2021 (UTC)
