Gambara (seeress)

  • ... that according to legend, Gambara was an early Germanic priestess, who secured victory and a new name for her fledgling tribe by deceiving Odin, the god of wisdom, himself, with some help from his wife?
    • ALT1:... that according to legend, the god of wisdom Odin was tricked by his own wife, and her priestess Gambara, to give victory to Gambara's tribe?

  • Sufficiently expanded, well-written and well-sourced article. Great work, Berig! The hooks are both interesting and in-line sourced; there are many references and full quotes proving the hooks throughout the article. One issue might be that the spelling of the names vary, with Odin often being referenced to by the name of "Godan", "Wotan", and "Wodan". However, one sentence in the article (referenced to Pohl 2006, p. 147) specifically says "she outwits Odin (Wodan)", so I think using the more well-known "Odin" for the hooks is ok. Among the hooks, I prefer the second one. Berig has less than five DYKs, so they need no QPQ. The quotes give false copyvio alarm, but otherwise it is well. Good to go.
