Great Mosque of Tlemcen

  • ... that the ornamental dome of the Great Mosque of Tlemcen is considered one of the most exceptional examples of Almoravid architecture? Source: Almagro, Antonio (2015). "The Great Mosque of Tlemcen and the Dome of its Maqsura". Al-Qantara, vol. 36. Article can be downloaded directly here. Hook supported in opening line: "The dome covering the space adjoining the mihrab of the great mosque of Tlemcen together with its adornments, have always been considered as one of the most outstanding works of art of the Almoravids."

  • Comment: Expanded on February 22-23; I did a rough count (by copy-pasting into MS Word) and counted 537 characters in the last version before this (Nov 10) and 6039 in the current prose. PS: the words "considered one of" could be replaced with "among" to be slightly shorter but I wasn't sure if this was clear enough wording.

  • This article is new enough and plenty long enough. The hook facts are cited inline, the article is neutral and I detected no copyright issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 20:25, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
