Gregory Lee Johnson[edit]

  • Length and recency check out, hook is interesting, article is well-written and neutral. However, the text of the article does not support the claim "...was notorious in political activist circles for...", merely that one person stated he used to do this. The hook, could, of course, be changed to reflect the facts as given in the article, if notoriety cannot be demonstrated. Hook also need amending to match the current name of the article, but that's a minor issue. Anaxial (talk) 21:59, 17 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Hook is 302 characters, when it must be less than 200 characters including spaces, ellipsis and question mark. Hook also needs to be revised for length. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:05, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Just for future reference, according to Rule C8, "The three ellipsis points and the space before 'that' do not count towards the hook length." MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 10:36, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Thanks. It's an important point, especially when dealing with hooks on the borderline. In this case, it reduces the length to 298 characters, which is still far too long for a hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 13:16, 20 December 2011 (UTC)
  • It looks like the reviewer approved the article, and the only issue is the "notorious" in the hook, as well as its length. How about the following, which is 193 characters?
  • ALT1: ... that Gregory Lee Johnson, who won a landmark freedom of speech case after being jailed for flag burning, was said to show up at every local protest with a bloody, severed pig's head on a leash? MANdARAX  XAЯAbИAM 23:10, 28 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Sorry about the delay, limited Internet access over the holidays. ALT2, ALT3, ALT4 are more possible fixes, all at or under 200 characters (Gregory Lee Johnson commonly goes by Joey Johnson). fat man rolling (talk) 10:40, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
  • Adding tickmark because everything seems to have been sorted out. IMO, the word "all" should be removed from "show up at all local protests" -- that's an unnecessary detail (and it's probably not true, even if his associate used the word). --Orlady (talk) 17:27, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
