  • New enough. Long enough. Neutral tone. Reliable citations throughout. Citations check out. Hook is interesting enough. Wish the article was written in a less list-like manner but clearly written nonetheless. GTG. Hybernator (talk) 05:38, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
  • Article has been pulled from prep because it has been templated for not having a lead section, and because the hook doesn't seem to account for homes that are typically not for sale, such as Buckingham Palace or the like. Highest price paid for a home/residence, perhaps? (And is this a purchase or a take over of the 150-year lease mentioned earlier? In any event, the article needs reorganization, including dealing with the high number of single-sentence paragraphs, and a better attempt at a chronology of ownership. There's also a disagreement between two of the major sources as to the architect that should be addressed. (I would also suggest that starting five consecutive paragraphs with the word "From" should be addressed as well.) BlueMoonset (talk) 23:18, 20 February 2017 (UTC)

  • No response in over a week, and no attempt by the nominator to deal with the issues. If this is to continue, a new hook will have to be supplied, because, as The Rambling Man notes, a house was previously sold for more than the amount given in the hook (which has been struck).   • BlueMoonset, I have much expanded the lead. It shouldn't matter whether a property is freehold or leasehold. It's not realistic to include property that will likely never be sold such as Buckingham Palace (Edwardx billion+). However, I've found an apartment sold for £136 million in 2011, so the ES calling it "the most expensive townhouse ever sold in Britain" (which I've added to the article) seems more probable. I think the architect is clearly Nash, but I've added the remodelling /extension by Lutyens, and the later work by Quinlan Terry is already in the article. And I've thought up a new hook.   • ALT1 ... that London's Hanover Lodge (pictured) sold for £120 million in 2012, but the underground swimming pool, which converts into a ballroom, is "too small"?
  • Edwardx, I had to delete a fair amount of material left in the article still referring to Hanover Lodge as most expensive. I have left the townhouse claim, but think you should check it against the £140 million sale from 2011 (there's a link to it in the original WT:DYK discussion, which I reproduced in one of my edit summaries). Also, the article variously gives the £120 million sale as occurring in 2012 and 2014; it needs to be consistent and the hook needs to match whichever year is correct. Thanks.   • Edwardx, it's been another week without any action. If you wish to pursue this nomination, you will need to be more responsive. In particular, you need to establish that the £140 million sale from 2011 was not a townhouse, and fix the inconsistency in the £120 million sale year so your hook can be supported. - The Length, Date, Cite, QPQ, and Earwigs check. The image is freely licensed and was taken by a Wikimedian though with the angle of the photo, the iron fence in the foreground, and the construction vehicles combined with the fact that we generally have a glut of image hooks means that we may wish to run the hook without the image. It appears that the prior issues were ironed out and ALT1 should be good to go. I'm pinging BlueMoonset and The Rambling Man to make sure they don't have any glaring issues with this going forward.
