Helge Haugen[edit]

Haugen while playing for Tromsø in 2008

  • ... that the professional footballer Helge Haugen (pictured) won a medal in the Norwegian youth orienteering championship?

  • QPQ done. Fivefold expanded from 6 January, so I think that's new enough. All paragraphs sourced, and I didn't see any close paraphrase problems via spotchecks. The fact in the hook is sourced; allthough it doesn't clearly say he won one medal, but rather that he is a medallist, which I interprete means he hypotetically could have one more than one medal. Maybe nominator can comment on this. I don't understand one word in the lede : "Tippeligaen side Brann" (side), but maybe that's my English. Photo is fine; needs attribution. Otherwise, pretty much good to go. Iselilja (talk) 08:03, 13 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Side is another word for team or club used by the tabloid football media, but I guess we should use team or club in Wikipedia, so I changed it in the article. Does the attribution I've added suffice? You are absolutely right, the source says he is a medallist not that he has won a medal, and I cannot find any sources to support how many medals he has won. But I'm not sure how to rewrite the sentance in the article. What about a quirky like the one below (ALT1)? Mentoz (talk) 16:37, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
  • ALT1... that the professional footballer Helge Haugen (pictured) was a medallist in orienteering during his youth?
  • New reviewer needed to check above issues and the hooks. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:25, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
    • Sorry, I have kind of been distant from DYK lately, but all issues should now be solved and the article is good to go with ALT1. I changed the article slightly to say medallist instead of "won a medal". Iselilja (talk) 19:05, 1 February 2014 (UTC)
