• Comment. The last 4 words of the hook ("to win the gold medal") seem superfluous. If he hadn't won the events, he wouldn't have set the record. (Note that I have not reviewed the article). --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 14:48, 7 September 2012 (UTC)

  Actually in Paralympic events it's entirely possible to set WRs for your classification and not win and not win as athletes from different disability classsifications sometimes compete together - Basement12 (T.C) 15:46, 7 September 2012 (UTC)
