  • Article is new enough (moved to mainspace Oct 16) and long enough (3671B). The image is public domain, clear at low res and used in the article. It's a great picture and would be nice for a photo hook. Nothing concerning on Earwig's copyvio check. Spot check of sources shows they support the text and are not closely paraphrased. The hooks are short enough and cited in the article. The source provided for the first hook is paywalled but it is also confirmed here [1] and here [2]. I don't have access to the source for ALT2 so AGF. I made a minor change to ALT1: it initially read "so that she was instantly identifiable if she made an error" which makes it sound like NASA chose a woman for the role so that her voice would be identifiable - this isn't the case based on the sources, so I removed "that". Thanks for this interesting article. Approved SpicyMilkBoy (talk) 14:49, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
Whoops, I just realized there's no QPQ listed. DESiegel could you add that to the nom if one was done? Thanks! SpicyMilkBoy (talk)
I haven't done the QPK for this yet, SpicyMilkBoy. I'll try to get it in today or tomorrow if possible. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:28, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
By "so that" I meant merely that because she was the nonly female voice, she was identifiable. i don't think the 'that" leads to the implication suggested by SpicyMilkBoy, and i think it is better grammer, but this is a very minor point. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:36, 23 October 2019 (UTC) If ther is a need to verify the paywalled sourcecs, soemone ar WP:RX probably has access. Anyone with newspapers.com access would do, I think. By the way, this came out of an Edit-a-thon. I have written to the subject, letting her know the article has been created, and asking if she has any additional, more recent, photos she would care to put under a free release for use here. Or if she knows of any additional sources. But there is no need to wait for that. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 17:36, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
DESiegel Since you disagree with my edit, I've changed the hook back to the original one. It's not necessary to verify paywalled sources for DYK, BTW - they can be accepted in good faith. Thank you for the information. :) SpicyMilkBoy (talk) 17:40, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
