Lotus Flower (song)[edit]

Created/expanded by What a pro. (talk). Self nom at 08:36, 20 March 2012 (UTC)

  • This is the source for the claim that Jennings directed the video. It does not appear to be a reliable source.--Carabinieri (talk) 14:12, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
  • There are other sources for Garth Jennings directing the video, though I don't know these sources well enough to be the judge of whether or not they meet RS. At least, as the article's creator, let me propose alt hooks in case none of those meet muster: – Muboshgu (talk) 15:33, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Actually, I just noticed that the source for the rest of that hook is a blog. Beyond the question of whether the hook is referenced, I personally don't think articles with questionable sources should be on DYK.--Carabinieri (talk) 15:48, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
  • I added a source for Garth Jennings and Wayne McGregor from El Observador, a Spanish-language RS. I'm not sure if KOVideo.net is a blog or not, but it seems reliable. – Muboshgu (talk) 17:04, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
  • I was referring to the Jagernauth text, which appears to be a blog hosted my Indiewire.--Carabinieri (talk) 17:36, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Ah, my bad. Is that one a problem? I cite blogs published by reliable sources, like the NYT blog. They pass WP:BLOGS as not being self-published. If Indiewire is an RS, shouldn't the Indiewire blog also be an RS? – Muboshgu (talk) 17:41, 6 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Uh, actually my bad. I guess I got a little over-zealous in deeming sources unreliable after reviewing a couple of DYK's with terrible sources. Now everything looks fine to me. I'm ok with the original or any of the alts.--Carabinieri (talk) 09:49, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Great. Better safe than sorry on the quality of sourcing. I'd hate to overstep, but do you mind adding a {{DYKmake}} for me on this one? I wouldn't ask if I didn't feel deserving, but I did create this article and have worked on it, even though What a pro. (talk · contribs) is the one who performed the 5x expansion. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:50, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
