Improved to Good Article status by Andrew nyr (talk). Self-nominated at 03:59, 1 February 2021 (UTC).

  • Full review to follow, but for now a comment about the hooks. I think the original hook is the best one, but it could be a little snappier. Perhaps there could be more focus about the "200 children in 10 hours" move, like it being mentioned at the start instead of at the end? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 05:27, 6 February 2021 (UTC)

Narutolovehinata5, How is this,
ALT2 ... that in a coordinated move of 200 children that took over 10 hours, Lurie Children's Hospital (pictured) moved from their old campus to their current location in Streeterville in June 2012. Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 16:49, 11 February 2021 (UTC)

That's still a bit too long, maybe there's a way to tighten it further? I don't think the "coordinated" wording is necessary and given the length of the hook the place mention is also probably optional. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:18, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
Narutolovehinata5, How is this, ALT3 ... that in June 2012, Lurie Children's Hospital (pictured) moved to a new location, transporting 200 children that took over 10 hours?
Perhaps something like: ALT3a ... that when Lurie Children's Hospital (pictured) moved to a new location in June 2012, it took over 10 hours to transfer 200 children? I realize I'm contradicting my earlier comments about putting the move first, but this feels like a clearer rewording of ALT3 (even though it's slightly longer). Narutolovehinata5, I like this! I am good with ALT3a! Thanks, Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 04:13, 13 February 2021 (UTC)
Narutolovehinata5, pinging you again, I don't know if you saw this ^^. Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 18:43, 16 February 2021 (UTC)
Apologies for the late response, real life caught up. I took a look at the article and it looks pretty good right now, I'll try to finish the review soon (maybe tomorrow at the earliest). Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 12:32, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

So far the article looks good: article was promoted to GA on the day of the nomination and no close paraphrasing was found. The hook fact is cited inline and verified. Nominator has less than five DYK credits so a QPQ is not required. My only concern with the article at the moment is that some wordings in the article feel a little too promotional; maybe words such like "offers", "continues to be the top", etc. can be changed to more neutral-sounding ones? Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 03:09, 20 February 2021 (UTC)

Fixed. Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 03:36, 20 February 2021 (UTC)
Apologies for the late reply, but I think the issues have now been addressed. GTG. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:36, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

I propose a slight rephrasing. First, it would help to mention that the hospital is in Chicago. Second, the source says "nearly" 200 children were moved, not exactly 200. ALT3b ... that when Lurie Children's Hospital (pictured) moved within Chicago to a new location in June 2012, it took over 10 hours to transfer nearly 200 children? Edge3 (talk) 20:37, 25 February 2021 (UTC)

@Edge3: I don't know, the sentence doesn't flow nicely. ALT3a has already been approved and I don't think that the word "Chicago" is necessary. Thanks, Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 02:30, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
@Andrew nyr: I was actually making my previous comment as a potential promoter, not a secondary reviewer. DYK goes through three layers of review, not just one, but you're quite right that Narutolovehinata5 conducted the original review so I'm going to ping him/her. Personally I think it's helpful to mention Chicago, otherwise the readers wouldn't know right away where the hospital is located. Additionally, mentioning "200 children" seems to imply precision. But I'm happy to get a second opinion. Others may have a different perspective. Edge3 (talk) 02:56, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
@Edge3: Rereading my reply, I realize that I might have come off as rude. This was not my intention. I am always grateful for input from other editors as we all see everything a little differently. I think that we can probably come to a compromise. In the meantime I am going to brainstorm more ways to improve the nom. Thanks again, Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 03:20, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
I appreciate that! There are many other reviewers / promoters here at DYK, so I'm sure we'll arrive at a consensus soon enough. Edge3 (talk) 04:13, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Okay, I'll keep the comments in mind. I was actually planning to approve ALT3b but I can wait for the brainstorming to finish first. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 10:39, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
Narutolovehinata5 and Edge3, You can go ahead and approve Atl3b, I have been very busy and haven't come up with anything better. Thanks, Andrew nyr (talk, contribs) 12:44, 3 March 2021 (UTC)
