Manilal H. Patel[edit]

  •  Doing... Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 05:22, 6 April 2018 (UTC)
  • Article meets requirements: it is new enough, long enough, stable enough, has a freely-licensed image. QPQ provided and verified. Earwigs gives a score of 0.0%. However, the article needs copyediting: it's full of grammatical errors such as a lack of the word "the" in several phrases. Some abbreviations like "S.S.C." may need to have wikilinks or brief explanations to allow non-Indian readers to understand the article more. The hook is marginally acceptable at best: it's cited in the article, but it doesn't really sound that "hooky" or interesting (there have been plenty of other writers who have written in both romantic and classical styles). Additional hooks may need to be proposed here. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 01:19, 9 April 2018 (UTC)
  • @Narutolovehinata5:, thank you for reviewing my DYK nomination. Pardon my English as I am not native speaker. I can not find more interesting hook from the article. Can you suggest one? I have requested an editor to copyedit. I will try to correct as much mistakes as much possible. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 05:31, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
@Nizil Shah: I'll get back to you when the copyedit has been completed. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 07:07, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
  • @Narutolovehinata5:, the copyedit has been completed by an another editor on request. Please have a look. Can you suggest alt hook? -Nizil (talk) 14:03, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
I am also suggesting this ALT2: ...that Gujarati poet Manilal H. Patel wrote poetry touching on his experiences in and around Idar, a town in the Gujarat state of India? Source: Topiwala, Chandrakant. "મણિલાલ પટેલ" [Manilal Patel] (in Gujarati). Gujarati Sahitya Parishad. Retrieved 2018-04-01.
@Nizil Shah: That's a much better hook; however, that information is not mentioned in the article. Please add that information to the article, then we can discuss the hook again. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 14:58, 10 April 2018 (UTC)
@Narutolovehinata5:, now that information is included in the article. Is it ok? Regards,-Nizil (talk) 05:01, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
It should be "wrote poetry" and not "wrote a poetry" but other than that I think the hook is good to go. Gujarati source is accepted in good faith. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 11:08, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for your inputs. Corrected. Regards,-Nizil (talk) 12:12, 11 April 2018 (UTC)
