Maureen Keleher, St. Francis Hospice, Hawaii

  • ... that Sister Maureen Keleher said that the first freestanding hospice in Hawaii was like "an answer to prayer"? Source: Ong, Vickie (July 30, 1988). "Nun's 'dream' hospice opens doors in Nuuanu". The Honolulu Advertiser. Retrieved 2023-01-10 – via Newspapers.com.

Overall: Thank you for the good articles Cielquiparle. I mark a single issue. In the article about the religious sister, you don't mention her religious order. You also bold her honorific title "Sister" which is not usually done, but that's not the main issue, the main issue is besides not doing this you also don't mention in the lead that she was a nun. Perhaps you're Catholic yourself and so don't see the Catholic bias in the article, by which I don't mean "POV bias" but rather "assumption bias", i.e. you assume it's clear to others that she must be a nun and what "Sister" means without a link to religious sister or the name of her order. WP:GLOBALIZE the lead please and these easily pass. Psiĥedelisto (talkcontribs) please always ping! 11:03, 18 January 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for carefully reading (and re-reading) and for all the thoughtful comments and pointers, Psiĥedelisto! I've now made it more explicit that Sister Maureen Keleher was a Catholic nun, in the first sentence of her bio, and also included more information about when she professed her final vows, etc., and incorporated content from a newspaper in Syracuse, NY (where her order is). Regarding the "first" claim contained within the hook, I've incorporated quotes for the three sources cited within the article in the footnotes on the St. Francis Hospice, Hawaii page (so hopefully when you mouse over them, you'll be able to read them). (I'm stating this for the benefit of the promoter(s) as well, as the "first" claims drive everyone up the wall, understandably.) I've also included the full text of the Sister Maureen Keleher quote (re: "answer to prayer") in the footnote on the Maureen Keleher page. Let me know if this is enough to "approve" at this stage, or if you have any other questions. Cielquiparle (talk) 10:08, 25 January 2023 (UTC)
