- So here's an interesting fact that I dug up today that might make for an interesting hook:
Disavian (talk) 16:36, 3 May 2013 (UTC)On February 15, 1942, The Atlanta Constitution ran an article predicting the atomic bomb; Montgomery Knight's comments in the article were based on his knowledge of Uranium-235. Shortly after the article was published, FBI agents "[descended] upon the campus ... and closeted themselves with Knight for a long session in his office".
- So here's an interesting fact that I dug up today that might make for an interesting hook:
Article is long enough, new enough and well-cited. Two points: looking at the sentence: the Guggenheim foundation gave its largest and last ever grant - was this the Guggenheim's last grant? I believe they are still active today. Also, the full name "Montgomery Grant" is repeated throughout the article, this should be shortened to just Grant where possible to avoid repetition. Citation verified for hook, although the atom bomb episode could make for a better one ... The Interior (Talk) 00:11, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
- There have apparently been many foundations by that name. In this case, it was specifically the Daniel Guggenheim Fund for the Promotion of Aeronautics that gave their last/largest award. And I'm having trouble thinking of a concise hook for the atom bomb story. Disavian (talk) 00:44, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
O.K., missed that in the article. Hook is referenced, ran spotchecks on two of the online refs, looks good. No inspiration for a atomic themed hook. The Interior (Talk) 22:13, 19 May 2013 (UTC)
