@Vivvt: Interim comments: The reviewer of one of my earlier articles objected to the use of the phrase, a number of articles, without reference. The same happened to the first citation as one has to wade through the site to reach the relevant page. This was the reason why I introduced Notes to assist the reader (or reviewer). Need to provide source for "one of the highest Indian science awards". Reference 3 does not mention the claim made in the article. Reference 10 supports only last sentence and not former two.

@Vivvt: The article on Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize states, It is the most coveted award in multidisciplinary science in India. This Times of India citation from that article mentions it as country's prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award. As the award has been blue-linked, guess we can do away with such references which are already available in the blue-linked article. Just for cross reference, I am providing a few references here.

As to reference 10, it supports only the last sentence but the second sentence is supported by reference 2 which is given inline at the end of the first sentence. Trust this clarifies. jojo@nthony (talk) 17:57, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

@Vivvt: In my humble opinion, inline citations for each and every sentence is not called for when it is possible to assume good faith. The article on the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize is referenced on the claim, so it should suffice. If we extrapolate the argument, we would be forced to provide inline citations for eg. whenever we mention Donald Trump, the president of the United States or Pope Francis. However, I have added the citation in the article as per your advice so that we may not waste more time on this. Thanks. jojo@nthony (talk) 07:31, 10 May 2017 (UTC)
