Neithhotep[edit]

  • ... that Neithhotep is the earliest woman in history whose name is known?

  • Intriguing topic, but the article has not even been expanded 2x, let alone the required 5x. - The Bushranger One ping only 01:58, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
The problem is that nearly nothing is known about Neithhotep beyond what is already in the article, and there is no way the article could even twice as long without containing many irrelevant informations or unverifiable theories about her life and time. I thought the topic was interesting and also that a nomination would draw the attention of people (or even potential editors)interested in Proto dynastic and Early dynastic Egypt. Right now we are only two editing tens of pages relating to nearly 2000 years of history from 4500 BC to 2500 BC in Egypt. Iry-Hor (talk) 08:53, 30 March 2012 (UTC)
  • Unfortunately, DYK rules are quite inflexible in this regard; the 5x expansion is mandatory for pre-existing articles. New articles are easier to qualify for DYK, requiring only 1500 characters of prose. BlueMoonset (talk) 13:46, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
