Nicki McNelly[edit]

  • ... that Nicki McNelly had various jobs, including serving in the British Army and working as a school secretary, before being ordained in the Scottish Episcopal Church?
    • ALT1:... that Nicki McNelly joined the Intelligence Corps of the British Army after leaving school but was forced to leave in order to marry?
    • ALT2:... that Nicki McNelly, who spent most of working life as an army wife, would later become Provost of an Episcopal cathedral?

  • Article is new enough, long enough and no copyvios. I like ALT1 the best, but I'm not exactly sure where the source says she was forced to leave the Intelligence Corps (as opposed to leaving of her own free will) - can you pull out the specific quote from the source that backs this up? I suppose "forced" is a bit too strong. The way I read it, if she wanted to marry, she had to leave the army. She chose to get married but that meant she was forced/required/compelled. Marriage was a choice, but leaving the army wasn't. We could change forced to had, but it doesn't quite have the same ring to it. Gaia Octavia Agrippa Talk 17:34, 2 December 2017 (UTC)
Okay, well let's go with ALT2 which a bit less controversial and fully verifiable to the Diocese of Argyll and The Isles. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 19:39, 2 December 2017 (UTC)
