Nurcan Çelik[edit]

  • ... that Nurcan Çelik became a footballer after she fell in a platonic love for a footballer, and later established her own football club? Source: "Galatasaray’da bir oyuncuya platonik şekilde aşık olmam ile futbola başladım." [1] (in Turkish), "2010 yılındaysa İstanbul Nurçelikspor’u kurdu." [2] (in Turkish)

  • CeeGee Nominated within 7 days of creation, Earwig doesn't detect any copyvios, and QPQ done. AGF on the non-english source. The only problem is that I don't love the hook. I think footballer is repeated too many times to flow properly. Maybe replace it with the name of the footballer and add "watching" instead of "fell in a platonic love"? It seems needlessly wordy. Or even add a hook which focuses on her accomplishments as a football player. Similarly, the article is written a little awkwardly. For example, the sentence "In the 2011–12 season, she played one match for İstanbul Nurçelik Spor, she had founded by herself" doesn't make sense. I don't think this is ready for DYK yet. • ALT1 ... that, inspired at her young age by Polish Roman Kosecki of Galatasaray S.K. in Turkey, Nurcan Çelik became a footballer, and later established her own football club? Source: "13 yaşındayken, Galatasaray’ın yeni transferi Roman Kosecki’ye hayranlığı sayesinde futbolla ilgilenmiş Çelik." [3] (in Turkish), "2010 yılındaysa İstanbul Nurçelikspor’u kurdu."
