Patrick Corbin (baseball)[edit]

  • Recent enough, long enough, article is within policy. Hooks (main, Alt1, Alt2) are correct length. Main hook cited to subscription cite, so OK based on AGF. Other hooks were verified (w/o subscription). I think the main/original hook as formulated has most interesting to a broad audience, HOWEVER the text of the article itself says he did not play for his "team" until his junior year, NOT that he did not play baseball (which would be more remarkable). I'm not sure this can be fixed while retaining all of the high interest of the original. If not, I might lean toward ALT2, though others might prefer ALT1. --Presearch (talk) 19:51, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
  • Good point, re: team. I didn't see any sources that talked about whether or not he had ever played in any other way, or why he didn't play in his first two seasons (Academics? Injuries? Did a coach randomly grab him and put him in a baseball uniform when they didn't have enough players?), so the main hook, if used, may need more specification. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:32, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
