Pied Wheatear[edit]
... that the Pied Wheatear perches on an eminence ready to swoop down to the ground to pick up a prey item?

QPQ looks like it was ready for a tick, but no tick included. Hook here is boring confusing, since basically all it is saying that a bird perches, then swoops, then (hopefully) eats, but with language that is more pseudo-academic. Any other hooks available? - QPQ now ticked. I found it difficult finding an interesting hook for this bird so I will rephrase it
- ALT1 ... that the Pied Wheatear watches the ground from a high perch and pounces on any insect it spots?

- Not sure what a "meh" is but actually this is quite an unusual bird behaviour. Some flycatchers also feed this way. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:41, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
- Meh. We have an article (somehow). What is unique about it? That the prey is an insect? Swooping for prey is something most any bird of prey would do, often after waiting quietly on a branch or other high spot. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 10:13, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
