This article passes the newness and length test. The hook facts are cited. There is no image in the article so none is permitted in the hook and I have removed (aircraft pictured) from it. The article is a bit casual in using expressions like "some friends dragged him along" and "recruited nine of his Flying Tigers pilot buddies" but the rules for DYK make no stipulations about this.
