The list of laws Alvarado granted during his governorship needs to be rewritten into prose. I see WP:POV issues and flowery problems with the governorship section of this article (e.g., in fact). Aside from this section I see MOS:OPED issues in the article (e.g., was reported). The list of his bibliography needs its own section. Either expand or merge his personal life section. All non-English sources needs to specify that they are not in English. Aside from the article's issues; it was a redirect that was expanded by the editor, the article has reasonable readable prose, its meets Wikipedia's policies and guidelines (aside from the issues raised), the article may have a POV issue as stated above, the article is cited by sources (however, non-English sources needs corrections per above), the text is not in any violations and was not copied or paste, I prefer the second hook as it is more interesting and the source does cite this claim, and the format of the DYK hook is acceptable.
- @AJona1992:, I am going to assume you are the reviewer though the comment is unsigned, but my watchlist lists you. Thanks for reviewing the piece. I have reworked the governorship section and moved the personal section. His first wife may be lost to history, as even my local sources here are unable to ascertain who she might have been. I put his published works into their own section. I am confused as to why the non-English sources need to be indicated as such, as they are clearly not in English. However, that being said, I marked, I hope, all of them with the phrase (in Spanish). If you have other concerns, please advise. Again, thanks for reviewing the article. He was important in Mexican history, but even more so to the development of Yucatán. SusunW (talk) 03:26, 25 February 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for pinging me, I forgot to sign in. As for the Spanish sources, as though it is not mandatory as per WP:RS#RSUE, it is encouraged that editors who provide non-English sources to the English Wikipedia that they provide the language that is sourced for their claim(s) in the article. Aside from that, the article has a decent size of readable prose and is not a stub. There are no CP and neutrality issues in regards to the article. I don't see any copy-vio or plagiarism with the article, the hook is interesting (I prefer the second one mentioned), and the format of the hook checks out great. The article was created by the nominator on February 21 and was finished on February 23, the day it was nominated for DYK. It is ready to go
