• ... that Sidney Alford once found a V1 rocket (pictured) motor when he was 11 but could not bring it home because it was too heavy?

• Comment: an alternate could be "... that Sidney Alford once said that one could "can get a crane or something, chuck the thing on the back of a lorry, take it out to a desert, and set fire to it or blow it up" to diffuse a bomb if the fuse was removed?

• As the article stands, it is not good enough for DYK. For example, the second sentence of the article states "He collected parts of various rockets and explosives and re-assembled them to see how they functioned" but this is not an accurate reflection of what is stated in the source, and reassembling explosives is not likely to be very productive! Nor is the image included in the article. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 08:44, 23 April 2012 (UTC)
