Umm, the expansion seems to be only 2-fold or so. My pros script clocks [1] at 350 or so words, and the new version at 750 or so. I am afraid that falls below the 5x requirement for newly expanded articles. I am sorry - I find this annoying too when it comes to featuring longer articles - but I am not sure how we could squeeze it under those rules... --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 09:25, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
Just to note, expansion is done on readable prose (i.e. characters). It still fails, going from 2247 to 5015 (a 5*expansion would have 11235 characters). Your best bet for getting this to DYK is for the article to pass as a GA, there is no prejudice against this being a DYK if this nom fails, then the article becomes a GA. I have crossed this as it is extremely unlikely to be 5* expanded. Thanks, Matty.007 14:18, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
- Have just pinged Wildbill hitchcock's page to see whether another 6220 prose characters could be added to the article in the reasonably near future. If not, or if no response is made by March 29, then this should be closed, but I thought it was worthwhile asking directly. BlueMoonset (talk) 02:03, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I am going to have to ask for its deletion, given that the sources that I used were not valid (it has been discussed in the article's talk page). The DYK is not mentioned in the article anymore. Wildbill hitchcock (talk) 07:32, 26 March 2014 (UTC)
