Victoria Na[edit]

  • Not correct. Draws are not out yet. Draws will be made on July 23. And there is no player at the Olympics with a name Ching Chieh Tai. This was the draw for the Auckland International. -- User:Florentyna

Now correct, but a little bit more content could be added (age, comparison to former Olympic badminton players from Oceania - probably she is the youngest?, etc.), to make the message more unique. --Florentyna (talk) 21:27, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Looks like she is really the youngest ever badminton player starting for Australia at the Olympics, see [1]. Erin Carroll and Kellie Lucas were 22, when they started in the singles at the Olympics. Paul Staight was close to 22, when he started 1996 in the doubles [2]. Eugenia Tanaka was some days older than Na, when she started on August 10, 2008 in the doubles [3], [4]. Na is in comparison 14 days younger than Tanaka in the same situation before the Olympics and will start on July 28 into the tournament and thus 13 days earlier than Tanaka, means she will be 27 days younger at her start at the Olympics. --Florentyna (talk) 07:13, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
You can add that to the article. Can you give the article the green tick that it meets all the criteria for DYK so it can be passed and hopefully moved to the prep area soon? To be honest, I am working on creating articles about female Australian Olympians ahead of the games and trying to get them to DYK as a personal incentive to contribute and once done with getting them to that length, other than making sure no obvious BLP problems are added, not working much on them. --LauraHale (talk) 08:01, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
I've seen, that Leanne Choo will be younger than Na at her Olympic debut. So all mentioned things are only valid for the singles. --Florentyna (talk) 14:34, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
Can you put this information on the talk pages for the articles as it is more relevant there? In the mean time, can you verify that the article meets all the DYK criteria and give it the green tick if it does? If the article does not meet all the criteria, can you explain where it does not so I can address these issues? --LauraHale (talk) 20:41, 20 June 2012 (UTC)
