Welwitschiaceae[edit]

Welwitchia, Namibia
Welwitchia, Namibia

  • Article new enough and long enough. Cited with reliable sources and hook sourced and checks out, no policy issues identified with the article or the image. I would tweak the hook to "...a single living species..." to reflect the morphotaxa from the Crato Formation.--Kevmin § 21:41, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
  • With the adjustment to the hook, everything is good to go.--Kevmin § 12:42, 22 March 2016 (UTC)

This nomination was already promoted and in Queue1. I have reversed that, because the article is not a new one (for DYK rules) but the majority of the text was taken from Welwitschia mirabilis (without attribution as well), where it wasn't added by the creator of this article and was present for years before now.
