WonderSwan[edit]

WonderSwan

  • ... that the WonderSwan (pictured) sold 3.5 million units in Japan but was never released in Western markets?

Brought to GA by Red Phoenix (talk). Nominated by Crisco 1492 (talk) at 10:51, 30 May 2014 (UTC).

  • Recent GA, long enough, "within policy", no copyvio found via spotcheck (no tool), QPQ done (though unnecessary as external nom). Second part of hook (about Western markets) doesn't have an immediate ref in article (see 3b). Please ping me if I don't respond. I'll also be gone for a week starting tomorrow, if you don't hear back. czar  21:52, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
  • Article has "Bandai signed an agreement with Mattel to bring the handheld to North America, but ultimately decided against a Western release." followed by a ref, and the Jeremy Parish quote further backs this up. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 23:47, 30 May 2014 (UTC)
Looks good—thanks. I can AGF on the offline sources. One other thing: "the ultimate expression of Gunpei" should be quoted if the direct phrase is being borrowed. czar  00:47, 31 May 2014 (UTC)
  • Thanks for the review. The original quote is "ultimate expression of Gunpei Yokoi's core engineering tenets", so as most of it is paraphrased I don't think we need the quotes. — Crisco 1492 (talk) 12:25, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
