World Series of Darts Finals[edit]

The PDC itself lists the World Series Finals as "Premier Invitational Event" (by https://www.pdc.tv/pdc-order-merit-rules). Since the PDC is a primary source, I think we should follow this and list the World Series Finals as a Premier Event, rather than part of the World Series. Furthermore, I have not seen any official source suggest that this event is part of the World Series (Darts Database has been mentioned, but they are not officially affiliated with the PDC as far as I know). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kds006 (talkcontribs) 17:22, 10 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree; I cannot understand why this keeps on being reverted, when the only actual source presented by either side is the one saying that it is a Premier event. OZOO (t) (c) 22:44, 18 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Another thing: the winner and runner-up from the World Series of Darts Finals get invited to the grand slam of darts, which also applies to the winners and runners-up of all other premier events. This does not apply to winners and/or runners-up of the World Series events. Indicating that the World Series of Darts Finals is considered by the PDC to be a premier event. kds006
Still, is sounds like the World Series and people expect it there. Is the PDC saying the Finals are not a World Series event? -Koppapa (talk) 17:31, 23 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
