June 2012[edit]

See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Wikisource and Template talk:Cite wikisource#Application. I do not see any point in duplicating the code in templates like this. Hence my reason for this reversal -- PBS (talk) 12:45, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unamed paramets[edit]

From the history of the article:

  • 18:45, 11 April 2013‎ Bob Burkhardt (allow unnamed arg to specify ws title for compatibility with similar templates) (undo)
  • 00:46, 12 April 2013‎ PBS (Undid revision 549887585 by Bob Burkhardt Unamed parameters are a bad idea as it make the maintenance of the templates far more difficult and it does not mirror what is commonly done with the main citation template)

More and more use is being made of semi automated checking of parameters in citation templates. Using unnamed parameters complicates that process greatly for no great benefit other than the saving of a few key strokes. What is you reason for wanting them Bob? -- PBS (talk) 00:54, 12 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
