Overlaps[edit]

I really love this template, but it needs to be moved below the title, because they're overlapping. See, for example, World War II Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial. --☆ CieloEstrellado 10:19, 29 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The coordinates now appear below the bar just under the title of each article, instead of above the bar at the far right. 199.125.109.92 17:52, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moved documentation[edit]

Hi, I've moved the documentation from this Talk page into the Template:Coor title dm/doc subpage, as recommended in Wikipedia:Template doc page pattern. Please edit the template:

<span id="coordinates" class="plainlinksneverexpand">[[Geographic coordinate system|Coordinates]]: {{coor dm|{{{1}}}|{{{2}}}|{{{3}}}|{{{4}}}|{{{5}}}|{{{6}}}|{{{7}}}}}</span><noinclude>
{{protected template}}
{{{{FULLPAGENAME}}/doc}}
<!-- Add cats and interwikis to the /doc subpage, not here! -->
</noinclude>

Thanks. +mwtoews 21:06, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A problem[edit]

I noticed that on the Ushuaia article, the template is way to far to the right. I there any way to fix this. Nocturnal Wanderer sign 03:43, 8 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Is there anyway to eliminate the link to Coordinates and the globe icon and just have the coordinates? By the way it would be much more helpful to have a link to the explanation of what coordinates are, at Geographic coordinate system, on the Map sources/GeoHack page that you get when you click on coordinates. With pages that have long titles the pagename overlaps the word Coordinates and the globe icon, as well as the coordinates, but eliminating the word Coordinates, which is really redundant anyway, and eliminating the icon also, would help. 199.125.109.135 06:23, 18 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The location of the coordinates has been moved to below the bar that is just under the title of each article, and at the far right, on the same line as "From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia", which appears to the far left. 199.125.109.92 17:56, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More precision needed[edit]

This template needs repair. It currently displays seconds N but not E. This is a problem for Wikipedia, but it also affects Google Earth. Cbdorsett (talk) 23:16, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It seems to have placed Silsand on the equator! (It's in Norway). Carcharoth (talk) 14:44, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I've changed Silsand to use {{coord}}, with display=title, which has fixed the problem. Once again, rather then expending energy fixing a redundant template, conversion to coord would be the sensible approach. Andy Mabbett | Talk to Andy Mabbett 14:54, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

{{Editprotected}}

This deprecated template is, at last, unused. Please redirect it to {{Coord}}, as was done with the similarly deprecated {{Coor at dm}}. Thank you. Andy Mabbett (User:Pigsonthewing); Andy's talk; Andy's edits 20:57, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
