Towns[edit]

Instead of keeping reverting: according to Mayo County Council only three places have town council. See here. The Banner talk 18:57, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have sourced more official towns from the Central Statistics Office. Mayo is the third largest county in Ireland; it is absurd to argue that there are only three towns there! The source you cited is only a list of town councils, not a list of towns. Most towns in Ireland do not have councils. Your Dutch expectations do not apply here. Please accept that Ireland is not Holland. — O'Dea (talk) 17:22, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It is the law that describes the official towns, not the statistics office. The Banner talk 20:14, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Even the CSO does not describe Ballinrobe as a town. When you use the CSO as source, do it correctly (p. 21) The Banner talk 20:32, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
