Template Current British royal family tree

Edward VIII & Wallis Simpson[edit]

I added Edward VIII, since he was conspicuous by omission (as a numbered monarch, and since his father and brothers are included) and because there was ample room in the chart for him and his wife. Since he died without issue there should be no need for a footnote clarifying how George VI came to succeed him. I included his spouse, Wallis Simpson, but omitted her prior husbands as irrelevant. Since this is a controversial figure and the edit might be worthy of comment, I opened this section in the talk page to receive feedback. --April Arcus (talk) 17:07, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Queen Consort"[edit]

The "clarification" of Camilla as Queen Consort seems confusing, since she has the same title as Elizabeth (queen consort to George VI), and Mary (queen consort to George V). The title "Queen Consort" may fall under the remit of WP:COMMONNAME if that is how she's being referred to in the media, but notwithstanding that, I feel that the shorter form should prevail. --April Arcus (talk) 17:13, 23 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
