W22DE[edit]

I'm not sure if W22DE (former W66AQ) in Dayton is broadcasting on any channel now that WCPO has moved to RF 22. When it was broadcasting post-digital transition, it was a simulcast of WRGT 45.2 "MyTV Dayton", not a satellite of WSTR in Cincinnati.

Based on a mistaken reading of a poorly worded website, another Wikipedia user had associated W22DE with WWRD-LP in Dayton. It definitely shouldn't be there, although I'm not totally comfortable with associating it with WSTR. It would appear it's still legally considered a translator for WSTR. Does anyone have any idea what plans Sinclair has or had for W22DE. It probably should be referenced somewhere. Perhaps at WRGT?

I've subsequently found most references under the WKEF article, so I've linked it to that inside this Dayton TV template. --Chaswmsday (talk) 21:03, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

W22DE[edit]

According to the FCC and according to the most recent license renewal, W22DE is still fired up. This wouldn't surprise me since it would cause interference to WCPO (also on Channel 22), making Sinclair Stations WKEF and WSYX the only ABC affiliates available over the air. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dirtyharry667 (talkcontribs) 03:54, 26 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't seen them on the air since WCPO moved to RF 22. Maybe Sinclair is just keeping their options open. --Chaswmsday (talk) 14:30, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
